Make a self-circle using black powder or earth.
Having marked out a circle around yourself on the sand, sit meditating within the circle for about ½ minute.
Then lean forward and scoop out a hole in the sand with your hands.
Bend right over and bury your head in this hole.
Scoop the sand up all round your head until it is completely buried.
Remain with your head buried in the sand, back arched in the air for about 50secs. To 1 minute.TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS: Videoing should commence as the performer seats himself on the sand and as he begins to mark out the self-circle.
Camera work should be straight forward and concerned only with recording the action as passively as possible.
