Josephine Starrs is an Australian artist whose video and new media works have been exhibited extensively both in Australia and overseas. She was a founding member of the 1990s Cyberfeminist group, VNS Matrix, and since 1994 she has also collaborated with Leon Cmielewski on a variety of new media projects including Seeker, screen-based installation 2006, Dream Kitchen, interactive animation 1999, and a.k.a., digital video 2001. Starrs is a Senior Lecturer in Media Arts at Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney.
