Based in Northern NSW Kellie O’Dempsey is currently completing a Doctorate in Visual Arts at Queensland College of Art, Brisbane. Describing her work as Performance Drawing practice and hybrid in form, O’Dempsey’s practice incorporates projection, video, collage, architecture, gestural line and digital drawing. Investigating notions of transformation and the uncanny she collaborates with performers combining hand drawn marks with digital projection and live animation. Experiential and emergent, O’Dempsey invites the audience to directly engage with the visceral process of making. Performances include; Art after Dark, Pier2/3 18th Biennale of Sydney, Mutable+Luminous– MONA FOMA, Hobart, Tasmania and The Firehouse, Brooklyn, New York.
