Jiann Hughs is an artist and researcher exploring the relationship between society, technology and bodies, both human and non-human. Through her work she elicits feelings of unease, wonder and curiosity, working primarily with video, sound and interactive media. She is a graduate of the Sydney Film School and is completing a practice based PhD through the University of Technology Sydney where she is exploring themes of embodiment in her interactive biosensing artworks. Her works have been have been exhibited in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and the UK.
