My artistic practice is driven by a curiosity about how we perceive and so make sense of the world. Sizzling Babes introduces two young females from a perspective that challenges common expectations about their sentient capacities. The environment through which they are represented, the tempo of their movements and their acousmatic soundscape attempt to cleanse these animals, revealing fresh connotations. The title toys with terms used in female sexual objectification to consider the exploitation and commodification of the female reproductive system in factory farming practices. My recent artworks have engaged with a breadth of issues, from pervasive surveillance culture and carbon emission solutions to public displays of affection and boxing coaching.
