Brad Miller was born in Sydney in 1961. He studied Electrical Engineering and Graphic Design at TAFE, received a BA in Visual Arts at Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney, and a Masters of Fine Art (Research) at The College of Fine Arts (COFA), University of NSW. He lectures in Art and Design at COFA.

Miller's work utilises manipulated found images and sound to create single channel video and interactive works. Since 1993 he has produced two interactive CD-Roms, A Digital Rhizome (1994) and Planet of Noise (1997, with McKenzie Wark) and has recently produced a large-scale digital interactive, augment_me (2009). He presented a working model of augment_me during SEAM 2010 at Critical Path, Sydney, and is currently investigating machine-vision and the choreographed body. In early 2011, he was an attached researcher to Chunky Move with Reuben Margolis, further exploring the human data interface. He is also holds an artist's residency at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris.
