1992

Crowdseen (1992) SP BetaCam, PAL, 6:06mins.

Video: Brad Miller, Sound: Tom Ellard (Severed Heads)

A cut-up “scratch” style video about the surveillance of the crowd and the power relations engendered by this surveillance. Composited from found/sampled footage: scenes of large crowds, riots, police action and violence overseen by the surveillance camera and stored for further use on the computer. A regular thematic icon is a large eyeball like camera scanning the scene. [SJ]
