Annie McKinnon is the founder of ‘Sounds + Interaction’. Her most recent achievement was making a short presentation to Surya Vanka, director of UX design at Microsoft for the last 16 years and founder of aunthentic.design. Notably, Annie is a recipient of the 2015 Artstart Award from the Australia Council for the Arts. In March 2015 she was also part of a collaboration held at Central Park between UTS Animation, UTS Sound and Music Design, and Bruce Ramus (creative leader of U2 and R.E.M lighting design teams for 28 years). In early 2015, Annie was also named as one of Synergy Percussions 40under40 composers. In 2014, with early guidance from renowned interaction artist Dr. George Khut, Annie completed an exhibition design for an interactive exhibition by dLux MediaArts: ‘Scanlines’ which is touring nationally from 2015 - 2017. Other current collaborations are with Bree van Reyk, composer, percussionist, and installation artist and the two are working on Annie’s debut exhibition/album.
