V is one of Justin Shoulder’s fantastic creatures. This contemporary demon draws from the lineage of worldly fantastic creatures that have enriched human stories since the beginning of expression. V is a cycle of perpetual indulgence in ego and self-idolatry. It is beautiful, humorous and horri c. It endeavours to awaken the creature residing in the Island itself, to become the face of the Island, revealing man’s vain need to dominate nature and shape it in his own image.
