My work explores social and personal mythologies as thematic bases within a heterogeneous art practice. These particular film works I am unicorn and The piano battle are derived from my contemplation into celebrity and personal identity creation based on historically generated archetypes. The unicorn has become a symbol in my latest works as the illusionary and unattainable persona while the Ass (represented by a horse head) acts as the chaser, the wanna-be, doomed to failure, and obviously oblivious. The films have become humorous self-reflections of sorts and are created throughout my current series of works as contemplation of my own sense of identity, as well as consideration upon social archetypes.
