Ashley Scott is a Sydney-based artist and musician. He completed a Bachelor of Communications in 1989 and a Masters in Humanities and Social Sciences in 1995 at the University of Technology Sydney. Scott's work has encompassed video, image-making, radio and installation. A recurring theme in his practice is taking audiovisual material from broadcast media and re-forming it in a manner that reveals silence, ambiguity and frozen time in images taken radically out of context.
