Nancy Mauro-Flude

Nancy Mauro-Flude is an artist, writer and curator based in Tasmania. Her research engages with digital materiality, embodiment and computer culture in a speculative manner. She is an accomplished arts practitioner who lectures, performs and exhibits locally and internationally.

Mauro-Flude was an Australia Council Jump Mentor from 2011 to 2012. She received her Master of Fine Art in Networked Media & Design from Piet Zwart Institute, Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam, in 2007. She is also an alumna of DasArts: advanced institute for performing arts, Amsterdam School of Art, where she studied from 2001 to 2004, and is the founding director of Miss Despoina’s Critical Engineering Space, which produces works and events inspired by computer culture from a feminist perspective.
