Hugh Marchant lives and works in Sydney. He is interested in re-imaging past memories in the form of video. His work includes built environments and natural landscapes including one or two people. Marchant has worked with contemporary visual artists Hayden Fowler and Angelica Mesiti to assist them in creating work. Marchant has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) in Time Based Art from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales. In 2009 he completed an exchange at the University of California, Berkeley for the fall semester where American artists Desiree Holman, Chris Kubick and Scott Donahue taught him.
