A realization of Alvin Lucier's "Queen of the South" perf. La Trobe Uni 1979 (6 mins)

In Salt, that substance is placed on a metal plate driven by an oscillator so that the sound vibrates through the plate and alters the formation and saturation of the colours applied to it.1 Such an image is known as a Chladni figure and was used in the 19th century to demonstrate the waveforms of sounds.
