Reflux

Alex Davies
2002

Reflux is an interactive installation in which users engage with a child's doll. The lifeless object slowly obtains memories as different users describe their first childhood memory to the doll. These collective memories, however, slowly become more fragmented and even decay as time progresses providing an evolving memory scape.

Throughout the course of the initial presentation of the work at First Draft Gallery, some 250 memories were gathered.
