4 channel digital video installation
2 channel stereo sound

In PonySkate we view the result of a video documentation of 24 hours in the lives of two children. Each child is equipped with a camera and records their own everyday activities from arriving home from school through to mealtime and weekend pastimes, but just as they are imaging their own lives, so does Murphy simultaneously train her own camera upon them. PonySkate is an edited record of the playing out of the young lives before the camera and investigates the extent to which (in the form of both home video and television) has become absorbed into children's lives and development.
