Studio recording of a performance piece by Tim Gruchy.
The music was originally recorded in August 1983 and released on the ZIP-III multimedia package the following year. The vision was part of a performance series involving a sequence of hand drawn 35mm slides with physical manipulation of cutout cardboard grids in front of the projector lenses. These started as single projector undertaking and developed into multiple projector rigs including super8 film. Similarly the physical manipulations became more and more elaborate with the introduction of a range of kinetic elements interrupting the projector beams. This version was performed after hours in the Avalon TV studio unit of Queensland University with the facilitation and assistance of Gary McFeat.
