Liberv vel Reguli! involves a raw, crude animation aesthetic loosely based around the theme of devil possession, Satanism, and exorcism. In particular I am interested in the idea of 'possessed media' of technologies being a conduit of an otherworldly, paranormal entity. Mobile phones in particular lend themselves to such an idea by being highly charged personal media, with customised ringtone and messages and the notion of a wireless communication with frequencies in the atmosphere and the connection and transmission of unknown paranormal and supernatural frequencies not of this earth. With references to Latin, satanism, Alester Crowley and mobile technology as a device of incantation from beyond.
