Battle Breaks for the Spectral DJ

This piece was produced utilising 2 turntables , 2 records and a mixer. Both turntables were stationary and tones were generated by the resting pressure of the record needles upon the vinyl surface. No actual record was "played". The tones were then augmented and modulated by the vibrations of the original sound which were picked up by the record needles. This process generated a continuously mutating feedback loop. Mixer volume and EQ controls were used to modulate and harness the degree of tonal re-entry and frequency spectrum.
