STAINED LINEN consists of approximately 130 different audio clips, paired with a range of visual representations of a dinner in progress. When one first visits the STAINED LINEN Web site, the dinner is just beginning. By rolling the mouse over each of several people arriving at the dinner, one is given choices in the form of words that appear. Each word takes the visitor along a different path through the Web project and the conversations that are developing. For the visuals of STAINED LINEN, the artist hosted a dinner for 30 in an empty warehouse complete with a 30-foot table and rented linens. This event was videoed from seven different directions as the dying rays of sun were streaming across the floor and table.
