Matt Warren's mother once told him of an experience she had drowning as a young girl. She told him of the complete panic that eventually gave way to a feeling of calm. After a while she head violins and believed this was the music of angels as they came to take her away. So Close (Oxygen)is based on this relayed experience of his mother's drowning.
