Inspired by a passage of writing by pioneering visual collagist Kurt Schwitters, Sewing Machine Beheads Itself (Feet Up) straddles the divide between art and music. Enitrely produced from appropriated sources, the listener experiences a broken or faulty communication, being aware of the message but not its meaning.
