Born in Adelaide in 1960, Panos Couros is a sound artist/designer and arts manager who has lived in Sydney and Brisbane.

His audio works include recent sound installations at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, and the Institute of Modern Art in Brisbane; sound design for The Bodysurfers by Robert Drewe, and The Summer of the Seventeenth Doll by Ray Lawler for the North Coast Theatre Company; Peter Barclay's adaptation of Grendel for the Brisbane Ensemble; My Identikit and I Yitha for Street Arts; rainforest soundscape along Circular Quay for the Sydney Festival 1992, and the score for Thwack, a solo work for the Sydney Dance Company.

He also worked on a multimedia performance held in Spring Hill Baths, videos for ABC TV's Artrage and several scores for theatre and dance.
