Mark La Rosa studied painting and film-making at Phillip Institute of Technology in the mid '80s. He later joined the Melbourne Super 8 Film Group and made several experimental and narrative films both on his own and in collaboration.

Since then he has completed three 16mm narrative films of short to medium length.

He works as a freelance illustrator.
